Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Campo to Campus ("Campo to Campus," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal data collected through campotocampus.com (the "Site") and in connection with our Talent ID Showcases and player-placement services. It is written to meet the disclosure requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for visitors and families in the European Union and European Economic Area, and applies to all visitors regardless of location.

Who we are

Campo to Campus is operated by Campo to Campus, LLC ("Campo to Campus"), which is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. Contact: steve@tapinsports.com.

What we collect

We collect personal data that you or your parent/guardian provide directly through the Site's forms, and information generated when you register for or attend a showcase:

  • Contact and inquiry data — name, email, phone number, and message content submitted through the "Get in Touch" form.
  • Registration data — parent/guardian name and contact details, player name, date of birth, club, position, city/country, emergency contact details, any medical/allergy information you choose to share, and division/day selections, submitted through the showcase registration form.
  • Talent submission data — player name, date of birth, position, club, city, country, parent/guardian name and email, phone number, links to externally-hosted video (e.g. YouTube, Hudl, Veo), and any notes submitted, through the remote talent-submission form.
  • Payment data — showcase registration fees are processed directly by Stripe. We do not collect or store your card details; Stripe acts as an independent data controller for that payment data under its own privacy policy.
  • Showcase media — photos and video footage recorded at Talent ID Showcases, as described in the Media & Likeness Consent section below.
  • Technical data — the Site does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. It stores a small amount of information locally in your own browser (not on our servers) — specifically, your selected language and, temporarily, in-progress registration details used to match you back to your registration if you return from the payment page. This local data is never shared with us directly and is not a cookie.

Why we process this data, and our legal basis

  • To respond to inquiries and evaluate talent submissions — based on your consent, given when you submit the relevant form.
  • To process a showcase registration and the associated payment — based on performance of a contract with you (or your parent/guardian on your behalf).
  • To feature a player's profile, photos, or footage on the Site or in our marketing — based on the separate media/likeness consent described below, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To meet our legal and safety obligations — for example, retaining emergency contact and medical information for the duration of a showcase for participant safety.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of third-party service providers to operate the Site and our registration/payment process, each acting as a data processor on our behalf: Netlify (form submission and website hosting), Formspree (registration form delivery), and Stripe (payment processing). We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

International data transfers

Campo to Campus is based in the United States, and the service providers listed above are also US-based. If you are located in the EU/EEA or UK, your personal data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. We rely on those providers' own compliance mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for these transfers. If you have questions about a specific transfer, contact us using the details above.

Children's data

Many of the players we work with are minors (typically ages 11–19). Where a player is a minor, we collect and process their personal data based on the consent of their parent or legal guardian, who confirms at the point of submission that they have the authority to provide that consent. Parents/guardians may exercise any of the rights below on behalf of their child at any time.

How long we keep it

  • Talent submissions (video links and player details) that do not lead to an ongoing relationship are kept for up to 12 months from submission, then deleted, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Registration and emergency-contact data is kept for the duration of the relevant showcase and a reasonable period afterward for safety and administrative record-keeping, then deleted or anonymized unless a longer period is required by law.
  • Data for players we go on to place or actively work with is kept for as long as needed to provide our services, consistent with this policy.

Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request erasure; restrict or object to processing; receive a copy of your data in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time (which does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal). To exercise any of these rights, email steve@tapinsports.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data we hold, including relying on reputable, security-conscious service providers for hosting, forms, and payments. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as our services evolve. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes affecting how we use previously collected data will be communicated directly where practical.
