Building a soccer program means competing for talent you can't always see from a highlight reel. Campo to Campus scouts in person — camps, showcases, and top-tier club matches — so you meet players who are already evaluated for fit.
- Vetted talent, not video clips. Every player is scouted or evaluated in person before an introduction is made.
- One relationship, not a network to build. A single point of contact for scouting across Italy and Europe.
- An insider's view of US boarding-school life. Steve currently coaches varsity soccer inside an ISL prep program and maintains strong relationships with admissions officers and coaches, so the fit conversation runs both ways.
- A straightforward partnership. Schools pay nothing to sign on — a fee applies only once a student is placed and enrolled.

Getting a talented teenage (U14–U18) soccer player from a club in Italy or Europe into a US prep school or soccer academy takes more than talent — it takes someone who has done it before and knows both sides of the process.

Campo to Campus is building a girls' division alongside the boys' program — the same rigorous identification and evaluation process, and the same landscape of US prep schools and soccer academies, led by a dedicated Director of Girls' Soccer.
- Its own scouting pipeline. Dedicated Talent ID Showcases and in-person scouting built specifically for U14–U18 girls' soccer.
- A dedicated Director of Girls' Soccer. Overseeing every girls' placement personally, backed by the same admissions relationships built over three decades.
- The same standard, for male and female players alike. Identical evaluation criteria and partnership terms across both programs — no shortcuts, no separate pricing.

Showcases across Europe, direct access to the pathway
Throughout the year, Campo to Campus hosts its own Talent ID Showcases in major European cities. Each morning, players train in a session led by top American coaches; each afternoon, they play two 60-minute matches in front of Campo to Campus scouts and partner academy coaches. Every session and match is filmed, with a personal highlight video produced for every player, and players hear directly from Campo to Campus staff on the full scouting, recruitment, admissions, and placement process.

Campo to Campus scouts across Europe and beyond. If you can’t make it to Rome, London, or Milan in person, send us game footage instead — if it looks like a genuine fit, we may send a scout to watch in person and meet the player and family.

Steve Schechter
Steve has spent three decades coaching at the highest levels of American prep and club soccer, including 17 years coaching high-level NEPSAC programs. He currently serves as varsity boys soccer coach at Rivers School, an ISL independent school in the Boston area, and holds the NSCAA National Diploma.
As Senior Staff Coach at Global Premier Soccer from 2014–2019, his teams won five state championships at the U16–U19 level, and he has personally placed more than 75 players into college soccer programs, including five who went on to play professionally. His coaching has also taken him to Haiti, Tanzania, Uganda, and Kenya, running clinics and advising national federations. He is also co-founder of TapIn Sports, a youth soccer tournament and community platform — giving Campo to Campus a built-in network for organizing and promoting Talent ID events.
That track record comes with deep, hands-on expertise in the entire recruiting and admissions process, and genuine relationships with admissions officers and coaches at the schools and academies Campo to Campus works with — the kind of access that only comes from decades inside the system.
Every placement is led personally by Steve, backed by a growing Campo to Campus team of scouts and admissions coordinators across Italy and the US — so families get dedicated support at every stage, not just one person's bandwidth.
The team is also growing to include a dedicated Director of Girls' Soccer, leading the girls' division, launching alongside the boys' program with the same hands-on, personal approach.
